Even as national unemployment rates remain high, Vibrant increased its worldwide staff 25% to 250 full-time employees in the past year.
Since the beginning of 2010, Vibrant has grown its share of the global internet audience 33% and now reaches 225 million unique users (comScore 2010). Growth has been explosive in the US, with Vibrant's audience soaring 58% to 144 million unique users. The $100 million-plus company has reported surges in key verticals, such as financial advertising (up 75%), pharmaceutical (58% increase) and auto (up 76%).
To facilitate this growth, the contextual ad leader has expanded its workforce over the course of the past year, focusing on strategic hires that have allowed the contextual technology leader to sustain its new needs and develop additional capabilities. Vibrant, has offices in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Detroit, London and Hamburg, among others, and opened new offices in 2010 in Los Angeles and Boston.
A string of noteworthy hires, including CFO Jeff Babka, who helped lead the 2005 "IPO of the Year," has accompanied Vibrant's recent growth. In addition to adding a General Manager for Display and Vice Presidents in the Sales and Product Management departments, key personnel have also joined the company's Business Development, Marketing and Technology efforts.
